soul.searching (the.compost.radio.show) +http+
with michael ruetten (soulpatrol, compost, germany)
one of the most influential artists passed away. THE voice, the arranger, the composer of many outstanding and unique songs and fantastic performances, ISAAC HAYES left us at the age of 65 last week. Special dedication in the first part of this show - the man has had a major influence on me making music as soulpatrol. R.I.P. - we will miss you but your music stays forever!
out of the soulpatrol box brandnew tunes by Jazzanova (can't wait to play more - all i can say is S OU L ) , Matthew Herbert, Natural Yogurt Band, Mark Seven, Julien Dyne out of NZ and a revisit to Africa with Salif Keita and two great bands, check it!
And then, second part of the show, a soulsearching discovery 2008: Anto Vitale out of Italia, new name on the soulful side of housemusic. Showcase mix with loads of his own productions in there. Mille grazie, Anto, keep on keepin on!
Big thanks to the Bulgarian crew for last weekend in Varna, soon soulsearching will go on air sundays at prime time courtesy of Andrei and his slot at Radio Nova Sofia. Watch out.
Next week a pure soulpatrol box, so much good music around
plus a words & music w/DJ Ease aka Nightmares On Wax.
enjoy the music,
