the world of jazz, the world of music has lost an outstanding voice, be it through her singing or pushing the civil rights movement. Abbey Lincoln died a few days after her 80s birthday in Manhattan August 14th 2010. Rest in paradise, rest in peace. A little tribute mix with a couple of tunes that i played 3 years ago when Max Roach, her longtime husband, passed away, taken from the highly important "Freedom Suite" album plus two songs off the beautiful "Abbey Is Blue" longplayer . . . thanks Lady Lincoln!
